Our canvas prints are made with UV-resistant inks tested for 50+ years of colorfastness under normal conditions. But a little care goes a long way in preserving that vibrancy.

Dusting

Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth to gently wipe the canvas surface every few weeks. Avoid feather dusters — they can catch on the canvas texture. Work from top to bottom in light, sweeping motions.

Sunlight Management

Even UV-resistant inks will last longer with indirect light. If your canvas hangs in a room with strong southern exposure, consider sheer curtains or UV-filtering window film. Rotate canvases between rooms every few years if possible to distribute light exposure evenly.

Humidity and Temperature

Canvas responds to humidity — it can sag in very damp environments and tighten in very dry ones. Avoid hanging canvas prints in bathrooms with showers or directly above radiators. A stable indoor temperature between 60-75°F with 40-50% humidity is ideal.

Cleaning Spots

If a mark appears on the canvas, don't use water or cleaning solutions. Instead, use a soft art gum eraser — available at any art supply store — and gently rub the affected area. For stubborn marks, a barely damp cloth can be used, but test on a corner first.

Tightening the Canvas

If your canvas develops a slight sag over time (common in larger sizes), use the included wedges — small wooden shims that tap into the corner stretcher bars to re-tension the canvas. This is a normal maintenance step, not a defect.
